Bookings to open across all dealers in Southern Africa at the same time simultaneously
Johannesburg, 1 November 2022: Mahindra will open its order book for the highly anticipated XUV700 in South Africa on 15 November across all dealerships in Southern Africa.

The luxurious and highly advanced new XUV700 SUV has been confirmed for its local launch this year, after its launch in India broke all records for the number of orders and the length of its waiting list.

In India, the XUV700 was launched to such high acclaim that customers logged over 150 000 orders before the first vehicle arrived on showroom floors. The current waiting list for XUV700 vehicles in India is approximately 22 months.

In South Africa, the XUV700 was revealed during a live-stream event in June, whereafter Mahindra South Africa took its first launch units on a road trip to dealers and customers across South Africa.

“We received such overwhelmingly positive feedback from dealers and prospective customers that we have decided to open our order book on 15 November,” says Rajesh Gupta, CEO of Mahindra South Africa.

“Customers will have the opportunity to place their orders for the first units to arrive in South Africa and thus avoid any possible delay. We will release more information on the booking mechanism and benefits to our first customers on 7 November.”

The XUV700 is the first model to proudly carry the new Twin Peaks logo, and for good reason. With its upgraded performance, world class safety and sci-fi levels of technology, it heralds a completely new era for Mahindra as a brand and Mahindra South Africa as a company.

Three models of the new XUV700 will be launched in South Africa. All three models will feature Mahindra’s new high-definition dual-screen layout with a digital instrument panel and digital infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

All models will also be fitted with Mahindra’s new 149 kW 2-litre petrol engine and the same high level of safety specifications that has earned the XUV700 the title as the Safest Car Ever Tested by the GNCAP.
